About the job
The Senior Design Engineer will be reporting to the Engineering Manager and as a senior team member, will provide technical advice on all PERI’s products.
Your contribution to the team includes
Your responsibilities
- To provide the design of formwork, shoring and scaffolding solutions using PERI products in accordance with PERI guidelines and practices, as well in accordance with Australian/New Zealand standards whilst maintaining efficient and effective use of time
- Provide technical advice on all PERI products to customers and associates PERI employees
- Ensure work is carried out safely and following workplace health and safety, quality rules and country regulations
- Actively promote the supply of leading technical service and leadership by example
- Develop an understanding of PERI’s products and Technical design strategies
- Assist the Engineering Manager with the everyday running of the department including but not limited to reviewing designs, assigning workload and recruitment and development of Technical staff
Your profile
- Ability to liaise with people at all levels from diverse cultural backgrounds
- A depth of experience in a similar role, working with all aspects of Formwork, Falsework and scaffolding designs
- Experience in management and staff development (desirable for senior design role)
- Highly skilled at coaching and mentoring engineers and developing team dynamic
- In-depth knowledge of PERIcad, RSTAB and the various design tools available
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain good working relationships
- Ability to work in a team and has a positive working attitude
- Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
