Pour at optimum speed

"How fast can I pour in this form? Is the concrete poured correctly?"

The PERI InSite Pressure Sensor has been developed to give you more control during the concreting process as it monitors the pressure acting on the formwork in situ. With real-time insights, you can make informed decisions in response to some of construction’s biggest challenges around speed and safety. This not only increases the level of safety during the concreting process and compares real loads to calculated loads but also helps to save both time and money.

Reduce risks

The reusable pressure sensor is fixed to the formwork and monitors the pouring speed along with the pressure acting on the formwork. This means that the sensor provides the easiest option to obtain precise information about the load exerted on the formwork.

Overloading the formwork as well as formwork blow-outs and deformation are therefore effectively prevented. This is particularly advantageous in the construction of bridge piers, tunnels, single-sided walls and high columns.

Continuous real-time pressure monitoring at critical points across different sections of the formwork enables the rate of rise to be adapted as real data can be used to supplement empirical calculations. This means formwork utilisation can be optimised and site efficiency maximised.

Quick Facts

  • Make informed decisions with real-time data
  • Maximise rate of rise where possible by pouring at the right speed
  • Prevent formwork from overloading

Our pressure sensors have already been used on large projects including Hinkley Point C, and the Regent Street Flyover in Leeds.

Project Info: Regent Street Flyover, Leeds
Project Type: Infrastructure, Bridge
Customer: Cidon Construction

The project involves major reconstruction of two concrete bridges along a busy traffic route in Leeds city centre. We supported Cidon Construction with a single-sided 6m-high pour on the southeast abutment wall using our PERI Insite Pressure Sensor. Due to the type of finish required no through-ties could be used which added to the challenge. Hear how our sensors helped our customer maintain an optimum rate of rise throughout the project.
